Christmas in July!?! With temperatures in the 100s and fires raging in my home town of Santa Clarita, Calfornia, Christmas is not exactly at the top of anyone's list. However thanks to Hallmark Channel's Christmas in July, I have been enjoying non stop Christmas movies full of holiday cheer and happily ever afters. And best of all most of the movies are filmed in New York City, one of my absolute favorite cities!
I have cried and cheered as countless holiday stories unfold and the predictable happily ever after ending arrives. But what I was not prepared to experience was the melancholy feeling. A feeling of missing yet looking forward to Christmas. The excitement of choosing and putting up the tree and trimmings and shopping for the perfect gifts. The joy of Santa's arrival and the excitement and chaos of opening gifts on Christmas morning.
While there are still 147 days until Christmas morning, I can live vicariously through Hallmark Channel's Christmas in July series.
