This summer get ready to experience new Pixar attractions at Disney California Adventure Park. Paradise Pier will be transformed into Pixar Pier with newly themed attractions, entertainment, foods and merchandise throughout. This new, permanent land will introduce four new neighborhoods representing beloved Disney·Pixar stories.
The first neighborhood you'll find is inspired by "The Incredibles". There you will find the old California Screamin' coaster ride has a new look and name to match the neighborhood. The Incredicoaster will feature character moments, a new look for the ride vehicles, and new music. California Screamin' is currently closed to prepare for this transformation.
The next neighborhood will be anchored by the popular Toy Story Mania! attraction and will feature other "Toy Story" inspired experiences. On the western side of the boardwalk you'll find a third neighborhood dedicated to the "Inside Out" film that will welcome a new family-friendly attraction, scheduled to open at a later date. Details coming soon!
The final neighborhood will be a celebration of many favorite Pixar stories. Mickey's Fun Wheel will receive a new look with each gondola featuring different Pixar characters. But don't worry, the iconic face of Mickey Mouse will remain on the Paradise Bay side of the wheel. All of the midway games at the Games of the Boardwalk will be inspired by Pixar characters. Mickey's Fun Wheel, Games of the Boardwalk, and Sideshow Shirts are closed during the transformation.
Also undergoing changes are guest favorites, Ariel's Grotto Restaurant and the Cove Bar. The new lounge and grill will include delicious meal and drink choices as well as incredible views of the new Paradise Bay and Pixar Pier. Currently closed during the renovations. Cove Bar will briefly reopen in April before closing again for its permanent change. The remaining areas of what is now Paradise Pier, including Paradise Gardens, Silly Symphony Swings, Jumpin' Jellyfish, Goofy's Sky School, Golden Zephyr and The Little Mermaid - Ariel's Undersea Adventure, will become part of a new land called Paradise Park.
Pixar Pier will open during the limited-time Pixar Fest celebration, which begins April 13, 2018. This celebration will include the new "Together Forever-A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular" fireworks show as well as the return of Pixar Play Parade, "Paint the Night" parade, and much more throughout the Disneyland Resort.
